Fall in Joy
Golden fields
behold the vastness
cranberry tipped trees
Eggplant colored leaves
it feels colder than it should be
Red birds tweet good day
Cicadas, lull it away
starry nights black skies
5 AM sunrise
more beautiful than sun flowers could be
The sun peaks over fields and valleys
To make us behold, the newness
Coffee, warm, nutty smooth
the smell wafts into the room
constantly and irrevocably,
surrounded by beauty
I make anxieties creep away
Back to where they came
I Ignore such anxiety until they’re tame
I can feel this presence, it might be one of me
Giving me hope to believe in possibility
What a marvel this Milky Way
I’m enamored by what was and is
I’m taken with what could be
I see hope in how the leaves change
I find joy in the rising of the sun
oh, I can’t wait to see what Good will come
